They also include some of the most popular foods consumed today; such as tomatoes, potatoes, all types of peppers, and eggplant. Although not truly nightshades, blueberries, huckleberries, goji berries and ashwaganda all share the same alkaloids which may have inflammation-inducing properties. The Solanaceae family contains cholinesterase inhibiting glycoalkaloids and steroid alkaloids including, among others, solanine in potato and eggplant, tomatine in tomato, nicotine in tobacco, and capsaicin in garden peppers. The glycoalkaloids in potatoes are known to contribute to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and negatively affect intestinal permeability. (1,2) According to Dr. Marvin Childers, "When these inhibitors accumulate in the body, alone or with other cholinesterase inhibitors such as caffeine or food impurities containing systemic cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides, the result may be a paralytic-like muscle spasm, aches, pains, tenderness, inflammation, and stiff body movements." (3) These symptoms may dissipate in a few hours or days if ingestion is stopped, based on the sensitivity of the individual, the amount of nightshades consumed on a regular basis and their level of inflammation. However for some heavy consumers of nightshades the process of inflammation and pain reduction can take up to 3 months. After reading the symptoms associated with nightshade consumption, it is easy to understand why one of the major problems attributed to nightshade is arthritis. Arthritis is also the most common disability in the U.S. (4,5) Statistics from a 2007-2009 study show that doctor diagnosed arthritis affects 49.9 million people in the United States alone (6). Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis affecting more than 20 million people. More than 2 million people are affected by rheumatoid arthritis, the most disabling and painful form of arthritis. Arthritis has no boundaries to gender, race or age, it affects young and old alike. (5, 7) In fact it may be surprising to some that an estimated 294,000 children (age 18 and under), have some form of arthritis. (7) In 2003 the medical cost of arthritis alone was approximately 128 billion annually. (4) Since 1994, disability-related costs for medical care and lost productivity have exceeded an estimated $300 billion annually in the United States, this includes arthritis and other rheumatoid related illness (8) Add to these numbers the report released in 2011 by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, where an estimated 116 million adults live with chronic pain, which costs the United States $635 billion annually in health care and lost productivity. (9) So the question is how much of these problems are nightshade related? That is the question some researchers are asking, as they believe that arthritis is often misdiagnosed in people who may in fact be experiencing severe side effects of nightshade consumption. Many who suffer with arthritis or an arthritis related disease such as lupus, rheumatism, and other musculoskeletal pain disorders, have found that consuming foods from the nightshade family is in fact adversely affecting their health. Norman F. Childers, PhD, founder of the Arthritis Nightshades Research Foundation stated: "Diet appears to be a factor in the etiology of arthritis based on surveys of over 1400 volunteers during a 20-year period. Plants in the drug family, Solanaceae (nightshades) are an important causative factor in arthritis in sensitive people." (3) Three month challenge If you want to know if nightshades negatively affect you, take the three month challenge. Avoid all nightshades for three months. (It's called a challenge for a reason).Be careful to note the nightshade list, and become a label reader as some homeopathics, prescriptions, over the counter medications as well as numerous processed foods contain nightshades. Prescriptions and over the counter medicines may require a discussion with your pharmacist or a phone call to the manufacturer of your over the counter medicines to determine ingredients. Moms Across America (MAA) found “alarming” levels of pesticides in fast foods sold by the 20 top-selling brands in the U.S., the representatives of the nonprofit told congressional aides and the public in a Tuesday briefing on the children’s health crisis in the U.S. All top brands tested positive for glyphosate, the main ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide, and roughly 76% tested positive for other harmful pesticides, the nonprofit said. MAA is concerned about toxicity in fast food because some fast food chains supply school lunches. Zen Honeycutt, MAA’s founder and executive director, presented MAA’s results during Tuesday’s congressional briefing. Honeycutt told The Defender the audience “was shocked by the test results” and was “interested in the solutions that have been proven to provide safer, nontoxic, nutrient-dense food.” Solutions discussed in the hearing included funding organic farms and cracking down on toxins in kids’ food. “We hope that the public will encourage their elected officials to have the political will to protect our children, citizens and future of our country,” Honeycutt said. Dr. Michelle Perro, a pediatrician and executive director of GMO Science also spoke during the briefing. She said the pesticide levels found in U.S. fast foods signaled “a national health catastrophe, with glyphosate leading the charge of the daily poisoning of American citizens.” Perro — who also authored “What’s Making Our Children Sick?: How Industrial Food Is Causing an Epidemic of Chronic Illness, and What Parents (and Doctors) Can Do About It” — said: “The health impacts from the chronic ingestion of glyphosate — even in low amounts — include neurologic disorders (autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, etc.), asthma/allergies, metabolic disruption, and immune dysfunction (including cancer). “The sobering news gets worse. Not only was glyphosate found in all of the fast food samples submitted, but a host of other toxic pesticides and pharmaceuticals were discovered. “In essence, our children and their families are consuming a toxic time bomb daily without any oversight or accountability.” MAA board member Kelly Ryerson of Glyphosate Facts and Sen. Corey Booker’s (D-N.J.) office organized the briefing. John Fagan, Ph.D., chief scientist and CEO of the nonprofit independent lab Health Research Institute (HRI) also spoke. HRI conducted the testing. Mark Doudlah, a sixth-generation farmer who owns Doudlah Farms Organics, said during the briefing that regenerative organic farms can and should be leveraged by U.S. policymakers to address the current dramatic increase in sickness among U.S. youth. Doudlah told The Defender he thought the briefing went “very well.” “People have a general concern about our kids and our future,” he said. “And certainly people understand the ‘hockey stick’ increase in sickness … the autism, the obesity rates, all of the things that are plaguing our youth.” According to Doudlah, the U.S. government can either invest money reactively in healthcare costs after kids get sick — what he called “sickcare” — or proactively invest in organic food to prevent illness in kids. “We’re going to spend that money either way … it’s that simple,” he said. He said that sourcing school lunches via local organic farms, such as what the Farm to School Network does, is a “big step forward.” “But,” he added, “that doesn’t guarantee that we remove the toxicity of pesticides and heavy metals in the school lunch program.” Doudlah said U.S. food policymakers should fund testing of the food that ends up on kids’ plates and aim to find less than 10 parts per billion (ppb) of any kind of pesticide. “We’re way higher than that right now, so we have to have a goal of getting to zero.” Perro told The Defender it remains to be seen whether policymakers will make “true change” based on what she and the other panelists shared. “Clearly, those involved with school nutrition are more concerned with low-fat milk, lowering sugar and sodium content,” she said, adding: “These concerns are unfortunately shadowed by the looming problem of environmental toxicants found in school lunches — 95% containing glyphosate, and 100% contaminated with heavy metals. “By decreasing the toxic load, and increasing nutrient density via organic, regeneratively grown meals, we can bring real nutritional changes to our children’s meals.” ‘It’s got to happen now’ Some people may be skeptical that U.S. policymakers can make such sweeping changes to the U.S. school lunch program, but Doudlah said the changes are both possible and necessary. Doudlah noted there are 1,454 other organic farmers in his home state of Wisconsin who want to help. There are 17,000 organic farmers in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Organic INTEGRITY Database available to help feed U.S. schoolchildren. “That’s over 5 million acres of organic,” he said. “So anybody that says ‘this can’t be done’ or ‘it’s going to cost too much’ hasn’t wrapped their head around the situation and where we’re headed.” “We won’t have a future unless we get control of this,” Doudlah said, adding: “Why would an organic farmer in the middle of harvest go to Washington, D.C.? Who in their right mind would do that? “It’s because we don’t have the time to kick this down the road 10 years or five years, or even next year. It’s got to happen now.” Glyphosate found in all major U.S. fast food chains tested HRI tested multiple samples from the country’s top 20 fast food chains, plus California’s In-N-Out Burger. Though it is ranked no. 33, MAA’s board, based primarily in California, insisted In-N-Out Burger be included to test the claim that it offers some of the “healthiest” fast food. Multiple samples of two types of meals from each of the restaurants, still frozen and in their original packaging, were sent by FedEx to HRI, where staff conducted a battery of tests, including triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry, for glyphosate and 236 other pesticides. Subway’s Footlong Veggie Delight showed nearly 300 ppb of glyphosate. Two kinds of Panera Bread sandwiches also tested positive for high glyphosate levels — the Deli Ham Sandwich (225.53 ppb) and the Steak and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich (213.58 ppb). Items from Arby’s and Dairy Queen contained over 100 ppb. The lowest glyphosate levels were found in Chipotle meals. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1974 approved glyphosate as a pesticide and still claims it has a “low toxicity for people.” The Environmental Working Group, a nonprofit research and advocacy organization, considers 160 ppb to be the safe limit for human consumption, a threshold much lower than EPA’s, which can range as high as 400,000 ppb. Plaintiffs in thousands of pending lawsuits claim the glyphosate-based herbicide Roundup, sold by Bayer, which bought Monsanto in 2018, causes cancer. Recently, dozens of individuals in an ongoing lawsuit alleging that exposure to glyphosate caused them to develop non-Hodgkin lymphoma accused Monsanto’s lawyer of having “close ties” to the judge. 27 other pesticides found in fast food items HRI found 27 other pesticides present in the samples, with some fast food brands testing positive for as many as eight different pesticides in one food item. For instance, Pizza Hut’s Vegetable-Topped Pizza contained measurable levels of six pesticides and trace levels of two more. Chains with the most pesticides in their foods were not the same as those with the highest glyphosate levels. Although Chipotle’s items had very little glyphosate, for instance, its Carnitas Bowl with Everything tested positive for measurable levels of five other pesticides and traces of three more. MAA pointed out that many of the pesticides found were linked to a host of negative health effects in animal studies. The group further pointed out that there is a lack of studies examining the long-term impact of routinely ingesting multiple pesticides. Doudlah said it “floored” him that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not seek out this data. “Why does it take a group of mothers to figure this out [and] to find out what’s going on?” he asked.

Hananya Neftali was allegedly appointed the official Digital Spokesperson for Israel recently by Netanyahu himself. Some sources will say he has been working closely with Netanyahu for 3 years. Whether recently appointed or having been appointed for 3 years, his story on the “facts” has changed a few times. His initial X post which was later deleted and replaced by a new story claimed that Israel bombed the hospital, and stated that “multiple terrorists are dead.” He then posted that he believed it was a failed rocket and potentially Hamas in order to “gain international support.” He then posted an apology, saying he was basing his initial information on a Reuters report. Again, whether recently appointed or having worked closely for Netanyahu for 3 years, I’m unsure as to why he would be basing his information on Reuters, and not directly from Netanyahu or the IDF which is he working closely with. Also, from what I can find, Reuters made no reference to any terrorists being killed, so if his initial post was based on a Reuters report as he says, it is questionable that this was his source. Now we move to the rest of the hospital story, which MSM have been flip flopping on since yesterday. Some say Israel, some say Islamic Jihad, some say Hamas. There is much footage being shared of the bombings which suggested they were JDAM, others suggesting it was a misfire, etc. All MSM outlets reported at least 500 dead, per Palestinian Health Authorities. The only damage that we have evidence for now that it is daylight that I am aware of, is in the parking lot of the hospital. Unless 500 patients were being treated in the parking lot, there are questions to be raised about this entire situation. Now let me address this Hamas video, reportedly released on their official channel a few days ago. Before I start on this video, where did Hamas conduct their training to intercept such advanced military and infiltrate with such precision, as we are told? Surely someone would have known they were conducting said training? Perhaps those who warned Israel before the attack? Now, the video. Think about how Hamas are painted in the media. I’m not saying they’re not evil… I’m saying how they are portrayed as low-level savages. What are these blokes doing in the middle of a war taking the time to paint their rockets and conducting exercises on tanks like this? How has no one spotted them conducting these exercises? Why aren’t they using the typical soundtrack terrorists do? Why are they even making high-production videos??? Who is filming and editing this??? Who is still funding Hamas? Finally, my observations are that some people are doing their best to piece it together in an age of immense propaganda and weaponised social media. Some exist to misdirect and cause chaos intentionally. It is nearly impossible to know for sure at this time. Everyone is scrambling for truth, and no one has yet arrived at it. I think we have all underestimated the additional mix of AI generated footage, recycled footage, false reports, true reports released at certain times, etc. This particular war has brought us an additional level of psyop tactics that we have not seen before. I also don’t blame people for becoming emotional. Innocent lives are being lost. Propaganda is rife with information that is being weaponised to further inflame emotion. Critical thinking is weakened when emotions are involved. If I have learnt anything over the past week, it’s the reinforcement that we need to continue to question everything. If you have been tricked into picking a “side”, I don’t blame you, but would challenge you to challenge yourself and ask yourself why, and what beliefs, bias, or information is causing this reaction. Any honest person would do this right now, and always. By Mike NBC News on Tuesday led its online broadcast with what the network said was the biggest news in the world: “President Biden to visit Israel and vaccine hesitancy on the rise for pregnant women.” As the winter respiratory illness season rapidly approaches, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the first time is recommending four vaccines during pregnancy: the flu vaccine, Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis, or whooping cough), RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccine, and the COVID-19 vaccine. But more women are saying “no” to their doctors who recommend COVID-19 and the other vaccines — even shutting down conversations with, “I’m not going to talk about it,” according to the NBC News report. “We are meeting more resistance than I ever remember,” said Dr. Neil Silverman, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at UCLA Health. “We didn’t get this kind of pushback on this scale before the pandemic.” “Now all vaccines are lumped together as ‘bad,’” he said. NBC based its report on a CDC study, “Influenza, Tdap, and COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage and Hesitancy Among Pregnant Women,” published in the agency’s Sept. 29 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Medical experts interviewed by The Defender criticized the CDC’s recommendations and its report on vaccine hesitancy. One of those experts, Dr. James Thorp, a Florida physician, board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology who has practiced obstetrics for more than 42 years, urged more women to say no to COVID-19 vaccines, in particular, which he called “an abomination of science and an abomination of a corrupted health care system.” By continuing to push dangerous mRNA COVID-19 vaccines on pregnant women, Thorp said, the CDC is breaking the “golden rule” of pregnancy. “The golden rule of pregnancy is you don’t ever, ever use a novel substance in pregnancy, ever,” he said. “And you don’t have to be a physician or nurse, you don’t have to have any education, to know that.” Only 27% of survey respondents took COVID booster shot The CDC study analyzed data from an internet panel survey conducted from March 28 to April 16, 2023. The CDC surveyed 1,814 respondents who were pregnant at any time from October 2022 to January 2023. Key findings include: * Only 27.3% of women chose to take the COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine before or during pregnancy during the 2022-23 flu season, nearly half the percent who agreed to take some other vaccines, the signal in the study indicating fear of COVID-19 vaccines tainted other vaccines, public health experts said. * Skepticism about vaccines has ballooned to taint the flu shot in the eyes of pregnant women, though the flu shot has been given to millions of pregnant women over several decades. Last year, the CDC study found, 47.2% of expectant mothers got their flu shots, down from 57.5% who got their flu shots during the pre-COVID-19 2019-20 season. * Among most of the 2,000 women who were pregnant during the peak of last year’s cold and flu season, or when the survey was conducted in March and April, almost a quarter said they were “very hesitant” about getting a flu shot, a significant increase in “vaccine hesitancy” over the 17.2% who said they had reservations during the 2021-22 respiratory illness season. * 55.4% of women with a recent live birth elected to receive Tdap vaccination during pregnancy, a number inching back from pre-pandemic levels, but “self-reported hesitancy towards influenza and Tdap vaccination during pregnancy increased among pregnant women from 2019–20 to 2022–23.” Dr. Denise Jamieson, vice president for medical affairs at the University of Iowa Health Care and a spokesperson for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, told NBC News that “even prior to the pandemic, it was a struggle to get pregnant women vaccinated.” She said she is dismayed that “Tdap is just barely recovering from pre-pandemic levels” and “the number of women vaccinated for Covid is disappointing.” Dr. Linda Eckert, an OB-GYN and global health and immunization expert at the University of Washington, said more of her patients have “a bias … about how they feel about a vaccine.” When Eckert recommends a vaccine, more pregnant women now reply, “I’m not going to talk about it,” she said. Dr. Melissa Simon, an OB-GYN at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, decried the rise in vaccine “myths, what I would call blatant disinformation that is intended to be more politically charged, not based in science.” Pregnancy ‘much safer’ without ‘risks of vaccination’ Thorp, a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine who sees 6,000-7,000 high-risk pregnant patients a year, said he was horrified by the unprecedented level of complications, miscarriages and fetal deaths among his pregnant patients and their unborn children after the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. The mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are “the deadliest drug in the history of medicine, whether you call it a vaccine, a drug, a gene medicine, a medical intervention, whatever you call it,” he said. “And they knew it. The CDC knew it. HHS knew it. Pfizer knew it and tried to bury the data, which showed 1,223 deaths from its vaccine in the first 10 weeks, for 75 years.” Thorp cited the more than 1 million illnesses and disabilities and thousands of deaths following COVID-19 vaccination reported in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), run by the CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. “If you take all the other vaccines in the U.S. in the last century and do a literature search,” he said, “the deaths and illnesses associated with the mRNA vaccines dwarf the dangers of all other vaccines combined.” Captured government agencies and major media have for nearly three years continued to ignore the most dire vaccine impacts in U.S. history, which are especially tragic for pregnant women and their unborn children, Thorp said. In December 2022, Thorp was the lead author of a groundbreaking preprint article on the dangers of COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant women and unborn children. The article was peer-reviewed and published in spring 2023 in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. The study analyzed adverse events after COVID-19 vaccines experienced by women of reproductive age, focusing on pregnancy and menstruation. It used data collected by the VAERS database from Jan. 1, 1998, to June 30, 2022, to compare injury reports on flu vaccines versus COVID-19 vaccines. These new potential factors contribute to breast cancer and highlight the importance of employing epidemiological biomonitoring like exposome (total exposure from birth to death) to discover mechanisms involved in disease development that are otherwise overlooked. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), breast cancer is a disease that causes breast cells to grow out of control, with the type of breast cancer depending on the cells themselves. Several studies and reports, including U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) data, identify hundreds of chemicals as influential factors (either promoting or initiating) associated with breast cancer risk. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, accounting for 12 percent of all new annual cancer cases worldwide and causing the second most cancer-related deaths in the United States. Past studies suggest genetic inheritance factors influence breast cancer occurrence. However, genetic factors only play a minor role in the incidence of breast cancer, while exposure to external environmental factors (e.g., chemical exposure) appears to play a more notable role. One in ten women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis, and genetics can only account for five to ten percent of cases. There are grave concerns over exposure to endocrine (hormone) disrupting chemicals and pollutants that cause adverse health effects. Therefore, studies like these highlight the need to investigate how first-generation pesticide exposure can impact future generational health to prevent adverse health outcomes, especially during sensitive developmental periods (i.e., in utero, infancy/childhood). This study employs omics scale (cell constituents) biomonitoring to determine associations with a disease, also known as “exposome epidemiology.” The goal is to investigate potential new environmental factors influencing breast cancer risk. Using nontargeted, high-resolution mass spectrometry, researchers test the association between pregnancy cohorts from the Child Health and Development Studies (CHDS) and breast cancer incidence from the California Cancer Registry. The research evaluates second and third-trimester samples from the CHDS database to analyze environmental chemicals involved in the development of breast cancer among 182 women and 384 randomly selected women who did not develop breast cancer. Researchers distinguish environmental chemicals using the Toxin and Toxin-Target Database to determine chemical signals with the highest association in breast cancer cases. Researchers employ the exposome epidemiology analysis to establish a framework that identifies suspected chemicals. The study results find that exposure to environmental chemicals during the second and third trimesters exacerbates inflammation pathways associated with breast cancer, including linoleate, arachidonic acid, and prostaglandins. These chemicals include an N-substituted piperidine insecticide, 2,4-dinitrophenol, benzo[a]carbazole, and a benzoate derivative linked to glycan and amino sugar metabolism. Inheritance of health issues spanning generations relating to hereditary influence is a familiar phenomenon. However, this study demonstrates multigenerational/transgenerational health problems from chemical exposure, a non-genetic factor. Epigenetic changes occur through environmental factors that alter gene expression that can impact multiple future generations. Considering two-thirds of all breast cancer incidences are related to factors outside of heritable gene mutations (e.g., BRCA1 and BRCA2), chemical exposure can explain the increasing rates of breast cancer. Many studies have long shown that childhood and in-utero exposure to environmental chemicals increases the risk of developing breast cancer later in life. According to multiple studies, glyphosate exposure has adverse multigenerational effects, causing negligible observable effects on pregnant rodents but severe effects on the two subsequent generations. Recent research from the Silent Spring Institute links 28 different EPA-registered pesticides with the development of mammary gland tumors in animal studies. Many of these chemicals are endocrine disruptors and thus have implications for breast cancer risk. Household cleaners, mainly pesticides, contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals that increase breast cancer risk. Furthermore, long-term exposure to organophosphate (OP) pesticides increases adverse health and cancer risk, specifically among women. Since DDT/DDE residues, current-use pesticides, and other chemical pollutants contaminate the environment, exposure to these chemical mixtures can synergize to increase toxicity and disease effects. Pregnancy provides the most appropriate timeframe to study potential disease development, especially for the initiation, progression, and susceptibility to breast cancer. Past studies note later age pregnancy is a significant breast cancer risk factor, which is considerable given birth rates have increased six-fold for women ages 35–39. Thus, the study calls for a “more detailed understanding of the respective contributions and interactions must be a priority to learn how to mitigate risk for this population group of higher risk women.” The exposome epidemiology approach that this study uses is essential as it assumes “chemical exposures which increase cancer risk can occur decades before breast cancer occurrence, that these exposures are detectable and at higher abundance in serum decades before breast cancer detection, and that network analyses of HRM [high-resolution metabolomics] data are sufficient to detect these exposures and link them to biologic responses.” Considering research over the past 50 years lacks development of a strategy to prevent breast cancer, using the exposome approach can allow analysis to more readily identify chemical carcinogens and the pathways involved in disease development. Past research demonstrates the mechanism by which cancer can develop after pesticides enter the bloodstream. In 2013, an experimental study showed that pesticide exposure produces volatile reactive oxygen species (ROS) that cause potential DNA and cell damage that propagates cancer development. Additionally, pesticides can increase cancer risk through alternate mechanisms, including genotoxicity (gene damage), epigenetics (gene expression), immunotoxicity, tumors, and endocrine disruption. Accordingly, this study advocates for the integration of omics scale biomonitoring (exposome epidemiology) with these other risk factors to enhance prediction and intervention strategies, subsequently decreasing the disease burden. Therefore, it is essential to understand how external stimuli—like environmental pollution from pesticides—can drive breast cancer development, as female health risks need urgent concerns. Prevention of the causes of breast cancer, not just awareness, is critical to solving this disease. In 1985, Imperial Chemical Industries and the American Cancer Society declared October “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” as part of a campaign to promote mammograms for the early detection of breast cancer. Unfortunately, most people are all too aware of breast cancer. Detection and treatment of cancers do not prevent the problem. Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. Much pesticide use and exposure are associated with cancer effects. Studies concerning pesticides and cancer help future epidemiological research understand the underlying mechanisms that cause cancer. Although the link between agricultural practices and pesticide-related illnesses is stark, over 63 percent of commonly used lawn pesticides and 70 percent of commonly used school pesticides have links to cancer. Advocates argue that global leaders must fully understand the cause of pesticide-induced diseases before the chemicals enter the environment. Policy reform and practices that eliminate toxic pesticide use can end the uncertainty surrounding potential harm.
